List of Operations for System Screen Element Version (Employee)

The List of Operations for System Screen Element Version will present all available operations for a given System Screen Element Version. System provided data exists for most Transportation Manager (TM) list views, all control pages as well as for selected property pages.

This list is one of several related lists that together will allow an administrator to customize the operations that will be accessible globally from supported lists. Customization can also be performed for individual user groups by accessing the User Groups operation or comparable functionality from the List of User Groups.

The List of Operations for System Screen Element Version will allow an administrator to exclude selected operations from the set that will be available to users accessing the applicable list. It will also be possible to modify the presentation of the active operations on the list (for example, alter the sequence in which the operations are listed, customize the text presented for each button or sub-operation menu, designate which of the operations should be emphasized, assign operations to sub-menus, etc.).

Administrators may also create System Screen Element Version Operations, even for lists that are system provided. These operations will link to customized applications or public applications.

System Screen Element Version Operations should be disabled from this list only if an implementation decision has been made to make this operation unavailable to any user utilizing this page. If a System Screen Element Version Operation is disabled, any existing overrides to the default configuration for this operation (that is, for a specific user group) will be destroyed. A System Screen Element Version Operation that has been disabled can be enabled at any time.

System Screen Element Version Operations should be deactivated from this list if this operation will be made available only to a minority of user groups with access to this page. If a System Screen Element Version Operation is deactivated, it will not be available to users in user groups for which no override exists for this page. Also, the setting for the Active flag will be used as a default value when an override is established for a specific user group.

List

The List of Operations for System Screen Element Version will present operations for a System Screen Element Version. The list will be sorted in ascending order by Screen Element Version Operation ID.

For information on icons and functionalities available on the list pages, see Web Interface lists.

Properties

The properties for a System Screen Element Version Operation are defined on a single page. When properties are accessed in edit mode for a Screen Element Version Operation that is system provided, most fields will be read-only. A number of fields will be read-only regardless of whether the operation is system provided.

The properties in the Screen Element Operation section will control presentation of the list regardless of whether an override exists for a specific user group. The properties in the Defaults section will control presentation for users in user groups where an override does not exist for the Screen Element Version; these properties are also used as defaults when creating overrides of the list for specific user groups.

The maximum depth for sub-menus is two. This means that a button can be used to access a sub-menu which can then be used to access a lower-level sub-menu but no additional layering is supported.

A user-defined System Screen Element Version Operation can be created that refers to a system-provided TM operation for the applicable entity. For example, there are many system-provided load operations but not all of these operations are available from every TM list of loads. If the base version of a TM load list does not provide access to a desired operation, it can be added by creating a user-defined operation. Click () icon (to the right of the URL field) to activate a secondary search that will list all eligible operations for the current list.

See "System Screen Element Version Operation Fields" and "User Group Screen Element Version Operation Fields".
